Morning Dew Tropical Plants is the premier wholesale plant brokerage firm in Florida!
Founded in 1994, our mission is to save our customers time & money by providing the best quality plants & customer service.
One call opens up the plant availability from over 150 nurseries located throughout Florida. We do personal nursery visits every week to review the crops and hand select specimen plants.
We are a “value added” resource for your company. We save you money and time by doing all your phone calls, running around, following up, etc. while providing you with a single invoice!
Morning Dew Tropical Plants buys in large volume. We are the largest (or one of the largest) customer for many of our suppliers. We get discounts and better pricing, and pass the savings on to you!

Morning Dew provides finished plant material from 3" pots to 30' specimens. We can fill all your plant needs - from one plant to a truck load. We do all the work and running around - all you need to do is to pick up the phone!

JOHN MENDOZZA
President - Sales
John Mendozza graduated from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA in 1983 with a BS Degree in Ornamental Horticulture. He attended a year of post-baccalaureate studies at the University of Florida, Gainesville to familiarize himself with Florida plant production.
John worked for Rosacker’s Plants, owned by Florida Foliage Hall of Fame member Dick Rosacker, for 2 years following completion of his studies. A Florida plant brokerage firm then employed him for 5 ½ years, then started Morning Dew Tropical Plants in April of ’94.

JUDY POHNL
Sales
Our resident “Plant Goddess” started her career in 1974 in western Michigan, working for a few Dutch greenhouse growers. She graduated with a BA from Michigan State University, managed a garden center, then was an assistant manager for an interiorscape company.
Since 1986, Judy has been selling plants from Florida, joining Morning Dew in 2001. Judy specializes in finding the cool & unusual, hard to locate plants.
TERRI COLLINS
Sales
Terri worked for a wholesale grower in central Florida from 1982 to 1993. She was involved in sales, management and production.
She worked from 1994 to July of 2004 for a foliage broker, specializing in sales to upscale Garden Centers, Florists, Interiorscapers, and Wholesalers. Terri joined Morning Dew in August of 2004.
With over 22 years of experience in Florida Foliage, Terri has many long-term relationships with her customers and suppliers.
SUZANNE TJERNLUND
Customer Service - General Manager
Passionate for plants and their people, this FL native started interiorscaping in 1991, then worked for a Homestead, FL nursery/brokerage company. Joined Morning Dew in 2000, Suzanne leads our Customer Service and Plant Purchasing departments. Her determination for customer service drives Morning Dew!
DIANA ST LOUIS
Receptionist & Customer Service
The cheerful, friendly voice that usually greets callers to Morning Dew belongs to Diana. She has worked in the foliage industry since 1999. Joined Morning Dew in 2005. Diana’s enthusiasm emphasizes our goal of making purchasing plants from Morning Dew a rewarding experience!
JULIE PRESCOTT
Customer Service
BS Agriculture from University of Florida in 1985. She has an extensive background in foliage and exterior plants, she was a Production Manager for over 18 years! Joined Morning Dew in 2005. Julie loves to laugh and make our customers happy!
TRISH MILLER
Customer Service & Plant Purchasing
BS Horticulture 1981 from Michigan State. Started out interiorscaping in the Detroit area. In 1985, relocated to FL. John, Judy, Vang & Trish were coworkers for 6 years for a plant brokerage company. Trish has since worked extensively in interiorscaping & horticultural sales throughout FL, joining Morning Dew in Sept of 2007.
VANG RECKNER
Accounting
Moved to Florida from Vietnam in 1975. Vang has specialized in plant brokerage bookkeeping since 1985! Joined Morning Dew in 2006. Vang’s impeccable work keeps our customer and grower accounts accurate and up to date.
